A completely different tonal range from what I’ve ever seen in Luxembourg. A different environment, smaller houses, lower ceilings and an omnipresent visual religiosity.
Everyday objects side by side with religious objects and reminders. Taken in Tipperary, Ireland, these photographs depict the two main rooms of my best friend’s parents’ house: the kitchen and the living room. Trivial to the inhabitants but so very captivating to me.
The title for this series of photographs was suggested to me by Denis, who lived in that house for almost 30 years.
